About Edmilson Baptista

I am very passionate about designing and building products and services that will have a positive impact on people’s lives and in society in general. Design Thinking methodologies enabled me to conceptualize product ideas for companies such as Olympus and enabled my team and me to be part of the yearly Yokohama Idea Competition. During my second year of masters at Keio University, two friends and I formed an Idea Lab in which I played the role of Chief Executive Officer. This experience taught me a lot about the process of building a startup from the ground up and ignited the passion for building products that people love. I have a thirst for discovering untapped markets, one example being the Flower business, where back in 2018 during my final year of my bachelor’s degree I realized that there was a lack of excitement in the way other flower arrangement business performed their delivery to the customers. Once I realized that, a friend and I decided to build our flower delivery business and tested the hypothesis, which indeed allowed us to reach product-market fit by changing the way we delivered flowers to our customers, ideas such us making videos of their reaction during the reception of their gifts and sharing on social media, adding chocolate bars and extra decoration on the flower arrangement distinguished us from our competitors. I aim to create products or help companies/startups develop products that bring a unique and positive experience to customers or users.
