I also enjoy test automation and am attracted to it because tests are executed faithfully as and when required whether overnight or at a moment's notice. Good automation tests are valuable because they reveal issues especially after a new build. My first experience with automation was with Motorola where the test infrastructure included a xyz plotter to press the button, LED detection circuitry, USB camera and audio detection. It was a sight to behold watching the tests being executed. The test automation project reduced the dependency on human testers while ensuring regression tests are completed on time. Other automation experience including UI web application using Selenium. Automation scripts are very useful especially during regression tests. It is all worth while when regression defects are found promptly after a deployment. My automation experience include Selenium, Protractor, UFT, Eclipse, jMeter and SoapUI. My test experience more than a decade in test projects like 2-way radio, public facing web applications and insurance platforms.
