About Edoardo Bianchini

I worked as a intern on non-invasive brain stimulation and brain plasticity at the Department of Human Neuroscience, Sapienza University of Rome, and received my medical degree in 2017 with a thesis on motor-pain interaction on cortical plasticity in patients with focal hand dystonia. From January to July 2022, I was a visiting fellow at the Neurogeriatrics Group at Kiel University to work on digital outcome measures and movement analysis in neurological disorders under the supervision of Prof. Walter Maetzler. In October 2022 I finished my residency in Neurology with a thesis on digital technology and mobility in neurological patients. I am currently enrolled in a joint PhD between Sapienza University of Rome (School in Experimental Neurology) and Université Grenoble Alpes (ED-ISCE) with a project on mobility evaluation in neurological patients, under the supervision of Prof. Marco Salvetti and Prof. Nicolas Vuillerme. I aso work as a consultant neurologist at Campus Bio-Medico Hospital in Rome. My research interests include the management of motor and non-motor symptoms in parkinsonism, wearable devices and digital technologies for the study of neurological disorders, the application of AI to neurology, the effect of chemodenervation techniques for spasticity and movement disorders, telemedicine, and telerehabilitation. I am certified as Neurologist Expert in Digital Medicine (UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024) and I am part of the Technology Study Group of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) and the Digital Neurology and AI Study Group of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN).
