About Edoardo D.

IT professional with 14+ years of experience in the telecommunication and banking industries. In 2006 I graduated in Engineering and started my career working at Accenture as an IT consultant in the delivery centre in Naples. Soon I specialised in corporate data warehousing using Oracle products. Later in 2011, I became an Oracle certified professional database administrator and worked as technical advisor and performance analyst, providing support and consultation for the ongoing projects in the centre. Since then I have been working throughout Italy, participating in many projects for several customers. Eager to face new challenges, in 2014 I left Accenture and moved to Switzerland. Passionate about technology, open minded, curious, always focused in self improvement and self study. I like to experiment technologies using a figure and try out approach, see things from high level perspectives, observe systems behaviour, evolution and interactions as a whole and, in general, I prefer all-rounder roles over small, confined and repetitive tasks. My interests in computing cover these main areas- Software develoment (C++, Python, Go, Scripting)- System engineering with focus on automation, packaging and building - CI/CD pipelines and testing - Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and more- Database management When I'm not dealing with computers and IT stuff you can find me in my studio playing drums and writing music, or, when I'm in the outdoors, with my camera taking photos or riding my bike.
