About Edoardo Superchi

I am 29 and currently stationed in Cochabamba, Bolivia. My area of interest and competence lies where the human experience and the natural environment meet and conflate. I have worked as an environmental technician at the Baix Llobregat Agrarian Park (Barcelona), as a research assistant at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, as a project analyst at EcoRegió (environmental services and green economy). I come from a very eclectic formative background, drawing together social and ecological sciences for the betterment of agriculture and natural resource management in general. I have been part of efforts to build resilient communities and territories by academia, public administrations, NGOs and the private sector. I got my undergraduate degree at Università La Sapienza of Rome and my masters' degrees at University College London and Università della Tuscia. My studies concern Social Anthropology, Political Ecology, Agroecology, Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Restoration. I have experience with socio-ecological issues, territorial management and rural development in Latin America and the Mediterranean, with a focus on environmental justice and the right of local communities to determine their own future and priorities. I speak English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian fluently and I have no problem with expressing myself before an audience. A bit of personal information. Assuming that only few people are fine judges of themselves and noting that I am not sure to be one of them, I have always considered myself an acute and, most importantly, extremely curious person. I am a voracious reader and a tireless traveller, but I do not need to go too far to discover new worlds. I have developed some strong principles, but I hold diplomacy in high regard and I am conscious of the value of compromise, which is an integral part of the tacit ability to work and live with others. I am also a great advocate of kindness: a widely undervalued quality.
