About Eduardo Lima

Hi there, I’m Edu :) I’m a Project Manager and PhD Researcher with 15+ years of experience across corporate, consulting, startup, and academic environments in both Brazil and Portugal. My professional journey started in business and evolved through sectors like technology, innovation, public service, and customer experience, and since 2017, it has increasingly intertwined with scientific research. Currently I’m a PhD Candidate in Sociology at the University of Lisbon’s Institute of Social Sciences, supported by a full doctoral fellowship (FCT). My research explores entrepreneurial trajectories within Portugal’s innovation ecosystems, focusing on the intersections of precarity, belonging, youth, and value creation. Before stepping fully into academia, I worked in the corporate world leading strategic and cross-functional projects in organizations such as PHC Software (Portugal) and Nutec (Brazil). I bring hands-on experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), service design, OKRs, continuous improvement and innovation programs with both social and business impact. I also work with digital tools like Notion, Miro, MAXQDA, and AI assistants to support data-driven, ethical decision-making. I’m also an active staff volunteer at TugÁgil, a vibrant Portuguese agile community, and a member of research groups focused on life trajectories and the ethical challenges of AI in academia.
