About Eduardo Vivanco
Eduardo Vivanco is a licensed architect (COAM, Spain), an independent scholar, and assistant professor at Endicott College in the Architectural Design Program. A Fulbright Scholar, he received his Ph.D. in History of Art at Stanford University, and holds degrees from Yale University (M. Phil in Architecture) and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (M.A. in Modern Art History). Eduardo has held teaching positions at Stanford, Madrid Polytechnic universities, and Vassar College, having lectured as well at Yale, Cornell, and University of Pennsylvania. His work and writings have been published in Journal of Architectural Education, Design Issues, and El Croquis. Oscillations, his first book on early spatial and perceptual artworks by Robert Irwin and James Turrell, will come out in 2023. A scholar of places, he navigates the disciplines of art, architecture, and urban history to identify relationships between ideas and built artifacts.
