I am a Software Quality Analyst with 4 years experience of operating in development teams. I am a strong believer in shift left methodologies, as well as a collaborative whole-team test approach. Core career activities and achievements are listed below- Created test plans for individual tickets as well as a broader, overarching test plans for entire projects- Identified and raised hundreds of software bugs big and small, ensuring effective reporting and debrief- Contributed consistently in all agile scrum ceremonies, including refinement, tasking, planning, retrospective and stand-up- Identified gaps and flaws in requirements within early team meetings, ensuring robustness of success criteria and promoting team understanding of work to be delivered- Presented confidently within large company-wide meetings including general engineering meetings, both in EMEA and NA regions. This in addition to frequently presenting within sprint review and QA community of practice meetings- Completed early testing using docker software, enabling rapid feedback to scrum team and hence avoiding lengthy pull request review processes- I have acted as the release coordinator, a role never taken on by a QA before, coordinating communications for the release, ensuring team preparedness and involving all relevant parties as well as attending the deployment call and facilitating the review meeting afterwards- Similarly, have acted in the 'sanity coordinator' role on numerous occasions, ensuring that all sanity testing was prepared prior to the release and raising issues encountered in testing with appropriate teams- Used a variety of different tools in my recent work such as Jira, X-ray, confluence, Kafka tool, postman, docker, mySQL Workbench, Dynatrace, Jenkins, scribe, retrium and IntelliJ- Written numerous blog posts, both internal and externally-facing, from simple ‘how-to’ articles to aid employee’s understanding through to more literary, promotional pieces- Ran performance tests for department and analyse results, comparing them to those previously captured to understand whether performance has shown any degradation- Previously awarded strongest results in ISTQB and ISEB qualifications in my team of 8 at a training provider- Performed a teaching function in a previous career as a secondary school educational specialist. Prepared and delivered lessons daily as well as attending team meetings and liaising with support professionals and senior management.
