I love to see people happy and succeeding. Life is a journey, not a competition." When I ask myself why I enjoy doing what I do I often come up with the same answer. Quite simply it is because I get a huge buzz from it. As an expert in my field (24 years and counting), I have a natural desire to share my worldwide experience to my team members. These team members sit within agile squads and scope and deliver complex solutions based on global fixed and mobile networks, cloud-based hosting platforms, 5G, SDWAN and unified communications along with collaboration services, to our most valuable worldwide multinational corporates. As a Senior Chapter Leader, Vodafone has instilled in me a big responsibility to lead the APAC Delivery Chapter, giving every Squad Lead and Squad member, the tools and skills they need to be successful in pre and post sales delivery activities. There are two main areas to my role. Firstly, as Customer Improvement (CI) ambassador where we implement best practices globally. We also challenge the status quo and bring in improvements to the way of working through digitalisation and technical knowledge. This fits beautifully with Vodafone’s plan to transition from a traditional Telco company to a Tech company by 2025. This plan is called “Tech2025”. Secondly as Line Manager supporting the Squad leads and Squad members in their career, work performance, training, upskilling, rewarding and development. It’s the ability to develop loyalty and followership from my teams, which I value highly. On a personal note, I am currently living in Singapore (17 years) and previously worked in London (7 years). I am originally from Melbourne where I worked in the corporate banking sector (10 Years). I am a family man who enjoys a mixture of culture and sports, especially running.
