About Edward Bond

Edward is a Senior Civil Engineer with fifteen years of experience providing civil designs with a speciality in stormwater drainage and water quality treatment design, flood analysis and flood defence design, and erosion and sediment control. He has also provided design management, project management, client-side technical advice and independent reviews across Australia, the UK and Middle East. Edward has delivered multi-discipline technical advisory services for major transport precincts and infrastructure projects, as well as civil engineering, drainage and water quality designs, flood studies and construction phase services (CPS) support for a wide range of other projects including high-profile precincts, large buildings and galleries, bridges, interstate highways and local roads, shared paths, bus corridors, light and heavy rail, intermodal terminals, subdivisions and mines. Edward is currently project managing the Barangaroo Technical Advisory Services for INSW (4-year contract) and the Cooks Cove Precinct Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Services for Boyd Properties. He is also reviewing key Parramatta Light Rail detailed design packages for TfNSW, providing CPS Civil Engineering Services for Quay Quarter Tower, and recently provided confidential Civil Engineering design input for the MAAS Powerhouse International Competition Project. During recent projects, Edward was the Lead Drainage, Flooding and Water Quality Technical Advisor to TfNSW for the Circular Quay Precinct Renewal and the Sydney CBD and South East Light Rail (CSELR) project, the Civil Engineering Lead for Sydney Modern Gallery during Concept Design Stage, and the Lead Drainage and Water Quality Engineer for the Canberra Light Rail – Stage 2 (20 km of new rail alignment) and Harwood Bridge (2no. 1.5 km long three lane road bridges) projects. In the Middle East, Edward was the Lead Drainage Design Engineer responsible for the delivery of highway drainage designs for 1300 ha of new build residential and mixed land uses on the Qatar C2 Local Roads and Drainage Programme. He managed the coordination of Qatar deliverables across the ARCADIS Global Excellence Centres in Manila and Bangalore and specialist teams in the UK. Edward also managed all coordination with the Client, Stakeholders, Sub-consultants and Contractors. In the UK Edward spent three years assessing flooding behaviour and delivering flood studies for urban and rural areas and bridges. The studies were coordinated with large-scale regional flood defence design schemes and property development zone planning.
