About Edward Broidy

Edward Broidy is a native Long Islander and resides in Southampton, NY since 1986. Ed has for 55 years acted as principal in several corporations dealing in related fields, such as land acquisition, real estate development, building and general contracting. His contracting firm Ed Broidy Contractors Inc.(which he sold in 1986) had acted as a contractor for several villages, towns, state and federal governmental agencies when he was the principal owner and President of EBC. For many years Ed has been active in local sports organizations that have greatly encouraged, fostered and developed youth athletes. Ed founded the Green Machine Amateur Hockey Club with over 900 boys and girls playing ice hockey at all levels. Ed was a founder, in the early 1990’s, of the Southern Hockey League (a professional Minor Hockey League) located throughout Florida. Ed was also the founder of the Professional North Atlantic Baseball League, which is similar to Class “A” baseball, with teams in the northeastern United States and Canada. During the past years, Ed has kept involved with local politics, having handled several campaigns for federal, state and town public officials in Nassau County. Ed also held a minor elected office for twenty years, as a committeeman.
