About Edward Candy

Graduated with a law degree from Universitas Indonesia, Ed decided to join Procter & Gamble (P&G) to see life beyond hundreds of pages of contracts and articles of associations. At P&G, he handles end-to-end modern retail businesses at both the organizational and the individual levels, ensuring top line and share growth as well as value creation. Prior to P&G, Ed worked as a lawyer at ABNR, one of the biggest and prominent law firms in Indonesia where he was trusted to handle corporate matters with a focus on power project financing. Upon graduation, he founded Study4Charity, an educational nonprofit that focuses on fund raising through mentoring activities to later be allocated 100% to vetted nonprofits. Study4Charity received a Token of Grateful Acknowledgment from UNICEF for their contribution to underprivileged students as well as for their donation in support to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia. Part-time, he is also a teacher who teaches debate class, model UN, public speaking, writing & research for primary & secondary students. His past students have achieved an outstanding amount of achievements in international conferences: • 3 Best Delegate & 1 Honorable Mention at Harvard Model Congress Asia. • 2 Best Delegate & 1 Honorable Mention at Oxford Model United Nations. • 1st Runner Up Team & 2nd Best Speaker at Asian High School Debate Championship. He graduated with cum laude in an accelerated duration of 3.5 years, completing 160 credits (out of 144 required to graduate). Ed was involved in extracurricular activities and was constantly being in leadership positions: • Head Delegate of UI delegation for Harvard National MUN 2019 (fully funded); • Head Delegate of UI delegation for Harvard WorldMUN 2018 (clean sweep 2nd Highest Award); • CEO of the team in Maybank Go Ahead. Challenge: International Case (2nd Place globally). Ed is available as a coach for classes focusing on Debate, Model United Nations, Public Speaking, and other English-based competitions preparation.
