About Edward Debano

I am mainly a workflow specialist and trouble shooter. I use Esko Automation Engine, DeskPack, ArtPro, Nexus, FlexRip, Flexproof and Dalim TWiST to create automation and solutions for the printing prepress process. I mostly work on flexo packaging. I understand the flexographic printing process. I understand the dot structure on flexo plates. I understand minimum dots, dot gain and the requirement for plate bump curves. I understand press profiling. I work with standard and HD plating and screening. In the last few years I have been focusing on the prepress process. How to make it more efficient and how to reduce errors and rework. I have taken my many years of experience and I have added to it knowledge of technology. Not just how to use the latest versions of software from Adobe and Esko/Artworks but I have learned programing, scripting and database integration. I am trying to make prepress better from the bottom up. I do not intend to be a network expert or a database expert or a programing or scripting expert. Most printing companies already have people who are experts at those things. I am the guy who can bridge the gap between IT and prepress craftsmen. My goal is to produce more with less error and rework. My goal is to increase productivity so the company can make more packages, produce more product, waste less material, and become more profitable with the same number of people.
