About Edward Fox

Founder and President of Fox & Associates, a government and public affairs consulting firm in Washington, DC. Prior to the firm's founding in 2009, he had served for over 30 years in a variety of senior United States Government positions in the foreign policy and national security areas in both the Executive and Legislative Branches of government. He has served as Assistant Secretary of State, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Assistant Administrator of USAID, and Special Assistant to the President in the White House. Currently he is working as a advisor, lecturer, Senior Mentor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on several Department of State and Department of Defense civilian-military programs. Over the past ten years he has worked on pre-deployment training for both civilians and the uniformed military stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Africa, the Balkans, and elsewhere. These included the Department of State's (DOS) Foreign Service Institute, Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) for both Iraq and Afghanistan, the Department of Defense's (DOD) Ministry of Defense Advisors (MODA) program, Civilian Expeditionary Workforce (CEW) program, Defense Education Activities (DODEA) ESL program, United States Army Military Information Support Operations (MISO) units, United States Marine Corp's MARSOC teams, USMC and USN MAGTAF LSE exercises, and USMC MEF MEFEX exercises.
