About Edward Genochio

I am a driven, highly-motivated, and enthusiastic leader. I love my work and I feel very lucky to be doing it. My background is in software, with over 20 years experience working in web and software development. Since 2010 I have had a particular focus on the global mobile phone telecoms and telecoms industry. Above all, I strive to build happy teams that thrive on solving really difficult problems for our clients. Magpie Technology provides a suite of market intelligence software which delivers near-real-time data to many of the world's leading brands, telcos, and retailers. Magpie gives our clients powerful data on their competitors and distributors, helping them make better decisions on planning, pricing, branding, marketing and more. It's a business, a team, and a product, that I am passionate about and extremely proud of. In spare moments I also run our "Reboot the Commute" programme, which aims to help and encourage employees to make more sustainable commuting choices. Belgium-born; raised in England and the USA; lived, worked and travelled in Russia and China, now come home to roost in Birmingham. Sometime New York Mets fan (1980s vintage), now cricket-lover and occasional wicket-keeper. Also, bicycles.
