Whirlpool: I'm excited to be playing a key leadership role with a successful manufacturer of household appliances that is taking the quality and manufacturing operations performance to a high level in support of our retail customers and in-home consumers. Experience: Whirlpool: Responsible for developing and deploying functional test standards across all manufacturing plants. Includes developing standards for test coverage and statistical capability, test system hardware & software platforms, enterprise reporting and scorecards around key metrics to drive improvement and capital/resource investment. Led team development of Whirlpool’s new test platform based on NI cDAQ hardware, LabVIEW, and TestStand. Created a new MS SQL server database, defined all tables, and wrote SQL stored procedures for common functions. For production test in Whirlpool plants, created a new software application using Python 3 with the front-end GUI implemented in QT6. CNH: SQE manager for suppliers of electrical and electronic components in the NAFTA region, supporting all CNH plants and all models of CNH construction and agriculture equipment. Coordinate globally with SQE colleagues on quality standards and procedures, and to resolve supplier quality issues affecting CNH plants in other global regions. Perform quality audits at supplier plants, apply APQP process to approve PPAP’s for new parts, review PFMEAs, control plans and work instructions, coordinate field campaigns with suppliers. Manage supplier quality metrics (e.g. ppm) and work with suppliers to address one-time quality issues, chronic issues, and field issues. TRW: Customer quality manager for domestic and Japanese customers in manufacturing facility for automotive electronics. Work closely with TRW design team and quality counterparts in Japan to address customer quality issues, with international travel as needed. Attained Six Sigma Black Belt certification from ASQ in 2007. Awarded US Patent in 2007 for manufacturing improvement of production test equipment. Technical manager for engineering group that developed and supported production test equipment for high-volume automotive electronics manufacturer. Includes assigning work, performance appraisals, disciplinary action & performance management. Allied Signal Aerospace: Designed avionic test systems for hydromechanical/electronic fuel controls on military jet engines.
