About Edward Kiolbasa
I am a recent graduate from University of San Francisco's M.S. in Energy Systems Management program and currently work as an Energy Supply Analyst for Liberty CalPeco, an electric utility located on the California side of Lake Tahoe serving roughly customers. As an analyst, I am working on Liberty's renewable energy transition plan, focusing on modeling to bring more renewables online to meet and exceed RPS goals. In addition to large utility-scale installations, I also have the opportunity to work on remote microgrid projects, providing our customers with local renewable energy while greatly reducing the risk of transmission line fueled wildfires. I am passionate about taking my interdisciplinary education and work experiences to utilize economic and policy levers, accelerating the renewable energy transition to meet and exceed deep decarbonization goals.
