About Edward Langdon

My proudest professional accomplishment is that I always give any task, no matter the size or importance, the time and attention it deserves and do it to the best of my ability and beyond. My family calls it "being a perfectionist" but I call it taking pride in my work. Over the past 17 years at Colorcon, I have made it my mission to make regular and significant improvements to the operating processes while accepting additional roles such as Safety Officer, Hazwoper, First Aid/CPR/AED certified, Fork Lift Trainer, Train the Trainer, Incident Commander and Contractor Trainer for Safety. Some of my most notable contributions to Colorcon include: 1. Incorporated new water separator, regulator and self-adjusting oilier to sludge discharge pumps, 2. Re-vamped air lines to sludge pumps using stainless-steel quick-connects and properly sized air line tubing which also speeds up the replacement process, 3. Fixed unbalanced sludge pumps using split rail hangers and installing thunder studs to prevent excessive movement, 4. Added initial pH tank caustic/Sodium Hydroxide delivery line that has the ability to drain through the line ending rather than the entire line by upgrading the line length and trap system. I also added a union for easy clean-out if crystallized, 6. Installed shop wet/dry vacuum for Sodium Hydroxide containment area followed by customizing the drainage process with quick connect, hard pipe, shut-off valve and flex hose to deliver waste directly to the main pit, 7. Installed air line through regulator and to the bottom of the main pit for circulating additives including but not limited to: Carbon, Metabisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Hydroxide for main tank treatment. I also incorporated a rotation handle for a 45-degree turning radius.
