About Edward McCann

Edward McCann is the founder and editor of Writers Read, a showcase for emerging and established writers and a celebration of the spoken word. A professional writer whose features and essays have been published in literary journals and national magazines such as Milieu, Better Homes & Gardens, The Irish Echo, and many others. Ed has won national awards for his work as a television producer and is a long-time contributor to Country Living magazine. He holds degrees in business administration and communications. While working in broadcasting, Ed created commercials, originated a weekly magazine show, and collaborated on a series of documentaries and special news reports before accepting a video writer/producer position at The Culinary Institute of America. With his partner, nationally recognized designer Richard Kollath, Ed then launched Kollath-McCann Creative Services, focused on publishing and television projects, special events, and hospitality design. Clients include Microsoft, NBC/Universal, Hearst Magazines, Eddie Bauer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, National Geographic, Yosemite National Park, The Mohonk Mountain House, Edelman Public Relations, QVC, Wal-Mart, Spiegel, ABC Carpet & Home and many others.
