About Edward McDonald

It was a long time ago-I have always enjoyed helping people to succeed in life, whether it be the Boy Scouts, or the military, and veterans. And that is a great feeling! Camp Falling Rock was a wonderful experience for Boy Scouts, Veterans, and the United States Marines, whom spent a great day there. Adding to that, it was very exciting to be asked by The Ohio National Guard to arrange for a dinner as the 211th Maintenance Company was going to Iraq. Other experiences: getting a student admitted to The United States Military Academy - West Point! and a Boy Scout who became an Eagle Scout. And I cannot forget the community that gave so much to the National Guard sendoff, The Ohio State University at Newark, the Newark City School District, the First Baptist Church, Newark Catholic High School, Creative Catering, Newark City Park - so many wonderful memories! Please excuse me if I have forgotten to mention others, as it was a long time ago. Last, but not least-a very good friend of mine and many others - he and his wife passed away early this year. 82nd Airborne Staff Sergeant Donald Jakeway, and his wife, Rene. We had great times here at my home, and their home.
