About Edward McKeiver

As the Group Executive Coal Haulage at Aurizon, I lead the largest coal rail haulage business in Australia, with over 15 years of industry experience and an executive MBA in organizational leadership and international business. I am passionate about delivering safe, efficient, and profitable solutions for our customers, who include domestic and international coal producers and consumers. My core competencies are process improvement, operations management, and project planning, which I apply to optimize the performance of our assets, people, and processes. I have direct accountability for the ROIC and EBIT of our business, as well as portfolio responsibility for business development, customer relationship management, revenue yield, integrated planning, scheduling, train service delivery, and maintenance execution. I lead a team of over employees across multiple locations and functions, and I foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and value creation. I am also committed to contributing to the global energy transition and sustainability goals, and I serve as a director at the World Coal Association, where I advocate for the role of coal in a low-carbon future.
