About Edward Morris

I am a production sound mixer/boom operator, as well as post production sound/dialogue/music editor. I became a Pro Tools HD 10 Post Certified Operator shortly after receiving my BFA in Sound Design. I love working in the sound department in film/television, theatre, music recording, and video games. I am a hard worker that enjoys being creative to complete any task at hand and putting my skills to work to produce an extraordinary project. Production sound is exciting to do. I like the hands on interaction with the rest of the cast and crew on set. My experience as a dialogue editor has enhanced my skills as a boom operator and production mixer. Being on set also brings its different obstacles of trying to capture the best sound that I delight in finding a solution. Once again being that production is a group effort, I do my job to the best of my ability to help accomplish a great shoot. I enjoy post production because it gives me the opportunity to be creative. I like a great challenge to sweetening, blending, or getting rid of a sound. My software of choice is Pro Tools with a variety of plug-ins for what ever the assignment may be. Another thing I like about post production is the collaboration process; how everything comes together at the end to make a wonderful piece. In theatre I like being apart of the creative process from start to finish. Working with the director to accomplish their vision is great achievement. When putting on a live show there is a spark of excitement that comes from my sound cues when being in sync with the actors on stage. It makes me proud to be apart a great live show. I have done a wide range of projects that has given me the opportunity to gain a great amount of knowledge and develop my skill. I work great with other people and I'm not afraid to take on anything. I have the desire to learn and the will to succeed. I take pride in my work and I am confident that I will be a great asset to your next project.
