About Edward Odonnell

Dating back to my first work experience, a job for me has always been more than certain tasks done day in and day out. I take pride in all work I perform, tasks big or small, unimportant or crucial. Something that sets me apart from other people is that I I am always willing to go the extra mile, either when it comes to getting my work done, or, if I feel that a coworker or business associate need a hand I am the first person to offer assistance. Given that all work environments are unique, there is not always someone that that you can depend on to get the right work done well on the first attempt. It is not necessarily easy to do either. This is a top priority of mine, and I make sure that no matter where I am working or what I am doing that I obtain this characteristic. When it comes to Accounting, there are are certain skills that are crucial in the proper completion of high quality work. Fortunately for me, I am very detail-oriented, organized, and diligent. A large aspect of what has made me so successful in my accounting studies thus far is my ability to stay organized and pay attention to small details that can make the difference in solving a problem or not. When it comes to interacting with others, I am great at working in teams. All of my work experience to date has required me at one time or another to work with others, and I am extremely confident in my ability to do so. Additionally, I am a very level headed, rational, and approachable individual, all of which contributing to my ability to speak confidently with others. As for my goals in accounting, in the short term, I am looking to acquire an educational internship that will allow me to couple my skills with real work experience, allowing me to start creating a value for myself that will be attractive to employers. In the long term, I am seeking a career with a respectable firm where I can grow, building and providing value while simultaneously building lifelong friendships along the way. I'd like to own my own firm one day.
