I’ve been in the automotive business since 1993. Before my most recent employment I spent 15 +- years between Car Trek & Allstar Auto in Puyallup. Started out in sales, then was told to sell and desk/finance. No one there had experience with desking or securing financing so I had to figured it out myself. Figure it out I did and spent the last 10 of those 15 years doing just that. I then took 3+ years off and when I got back into the business I only wanted to sell as my children were getting older. So for the first 5+- years at Car Pros that’s what I did, I sold primarily at the special finance location. Gross, average gross, and unit count was always towards the top of all 3 locations if not at the top. I was offered a manager’s position numerous times but politely declined until the timing was right. Spent the last 2+ years as a sales/desk manager for Car Pros Credit Special Finance Location and the Used location. Systems used, CDK, Dealer Track. CUDL, Vin Solutions, V-Auto, and back in the day, Versidata.
