About Edward Sedutla

I am a Labour Relations Specialist with 10 years of experience. I hold a Bcom Degree in Human Resource Management and a Certificate in Advanced Labour Law. After completing my Bcom Degree, i decided to focus on the specialty of Labour Relations. I have since grown in the field having worked for a consulting firm for just over 3 years servicing over 400 clients. As a consultant, i worked with clients from different sectors including Agriculture, Engineering, Motor Industry, Security, Retail and etc. I then moved to a Facilities Management company and worked in the contract cleaning division. My main duties were chairing disciplinary hearings, providing advise to line and regional managers, preparation of CCMA matters and attending conciliations and Arbitrations. I managed to reduce CCMA costs by over 80% and reduced misconduct hearings by over 40% through IR Training Roadshows. I created an IR Manual as a guiding tool for line managers. I worked for a Contract Security company where i served as an Industrial Relations Officer. This is where i ran the IR Department and was responsible for advising line and Regional managers on Labour related issues, attending all CCMA cases throughout the region which consisted of 6 provinces. I managed to obtain 98% success rate on CCMA Matters and reduced Dismissals by over 30% within 2 years. I also worked for an ICT distribution company with just over 1100 employees. I am currently an IR Officer for a large company in the aviation industry. I service about employees based at OR Tambo International Airport, King Shaka International Airport, Cape Town International Airport, East London and Port Elizabeth Airports. I am looking forward to Expanding my knowledge and experience as an Industrial Relations Specialist.
