About Edward Simiyu

I have worked as a chaplain for over 10 years, within academic, healthcare and combat setups. I have been to war torn Somalia twice and worked with many maginalized groups both in rural and urban setups. As a Chaplain, I take pride in listening more than I speak, and this is what people need. They need someone to hear them out. I can confidently say I have managed to reverse poor decisions and resolutions within the organization and repulsed several suicidal and homicidal intents within and without the forces. I believe a chaplain is not a pulpit person, but a 'one on one' person that carries tailor made solutions for each single person. Interestingly, all people are different, with unique problems making a general talk or sermon quite vague on resolving conflicts there in. A personal time with them will create more impact, and this is why availability is a key component to successful Chaplaincy. I do not have limits, on the people I help.
