Ed is a Financial Professional with Equitable Advisors and a member of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce in Goldsboro North Carolina. He is very dedicated to helping individuals and businesses build their financial futures. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College. He has been in the financial industry since 1981, and continues to further develop his professional skills by attending industry training and certification programs. This includes completing the curriculum and passing rigorous exams for the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)*, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)*, Retirement Planning Specialist** and the FINRA licenses of Series 6, Series 7, Series 63 and 65. Ed’s education, experience, and professional affiliations have fostered a practical approach to offering financial advice and planning services to clients. Rather than just recommending unrelated products, he takes the time to consider specific financial goals and investment objectives. Ed’s top priority is to formulate a strategy to help clients achieve their goals. He and his wife Vicky have lived in Eureka, NC since 1984. They have 2 sons, Matt and Will. He is the proud grandfather of twins, Madelyn and Nolan Spence born on December 13, 2014.
