I am a software engineer with over 30 years of experience in designing/developing software. I have worked both individually and with a team on various projects. I have worked on both core code as well as user interface code. In conjunction with this development, I have written functional specifications and other technical documents. I have also helped with technical support. I have the following skills: • Over 20 years experience programming in C/C++ and VB.Net (this is the primary language I program with). The coding I have done implements the object-oriented approach. I’ve written code for both UI elements and the back-end of software. I have worked independently and as part of a team on many C/C++ projects. I have also been responsible for designing many projects. • About 1 year with C#. I completed a C# dynamic link library that imports geometry from AeroHydro’s software into SpaceClaim. • 5 years with FORTRAN. I have written sailing yacht performance prediction software solely using the FORTRAN language. • Worked with OpenGL for over 20 years. It is the graphics library used to display geometry in AeroHydro’s software. • Over 20 years experience using MFC. • Over 15 years experience using COM and OLE Automation. • I have developed primarily on the Windows platform but have also had some experience with Linux programming. • When needed, I am able to quickly learn new programming languages or skills. • I have experience working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD and have written code to import and export DXF files within different software applications.
