I am a consultant neurosurgeon with specialist interests in neurovascular surgery, anterolateral skull base surgery and neuro-oncology. I am the lead for the cranial neurosurgery service at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, one of the largest neurosurgery units in the UK. I have previously undertaken fellowship training in vascular and skull base neurosurgery (Adelaide), spinal surgery (Sydney) and functional neurosurgery (Bristol). I have a 1st class degree in Biomedical Science and a PhD in neuroscience. My PhD thesis was concerned with the development of novel techniques for drug delivery to the brain.
