About Edward Yates

I have worked in the I.T. industry since 2005 and during that time I have taken on several roles, working principally as a technical consultant and solution architect for a multi-vendor business partner and Managed Service Provider. As the I.T. industry trend has moved towards managed services supported by software defined and cloud ready technologies running on commodity x86 hardware, my role over recent years has been to help develop and resell our private and public cloud based offerings as a MSP. I'm familiar with Azure and AWS public clouds and have helped integrate their products in to our own managed services offerings which include business continuity and security services, so we can deliver a true hybrid solution for our clients utilising on-premise/private infrastructure complimented by our own bespoke or public cloud based services. As a technical architect, my abilities include pre-sales engagements and solution design along with technically owning service onboarding or infrastructure deployment projects. As I've also been involved with hardware deployment and configuration, I am familiar with all elements required to successfully deliver a complex technical solution utilising cloud and technology from the main vendors including IBM, VMware, Lenovo and Dell EMC.
