Working in corporate R&D at Royal IHC, and as part-time PhD researcher at the Delft University of Technology (3mE: section of Dredging Technology). My daily work involves studying multi-phase flows in pipelines and centrifugal pumps, for the Dredging, wet Mining and Deep Sea Mining industries. I enjoy combining computational modeling, using Python and Matlab, and experimental research in my daily work. For my PhD research I have developed 1D-CFD (Driftflux) technology to simulate long distance pipeline transport, modeling details such as local particle slip, pump-pipeline coupling and sedimentation, in both horizontal and vertical pipelines.
