About Edwin Hendriadi

My journey across continents has shaped a diverse skill set and a unique perspective, combining global experiences with entrepreneurial passion. I’ve had the privilege of living and working in different countries, which has deeply influenced both my professional and personal growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University as a proud scholarship recipient, followed by a Master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. My academic journey gave me a solid foundation, but my real education came from living in the fast-evolving environments of China and Indonesia. In Beijing, I immersed myself in Mandarin, and it wasn’t long before I found myself in Shanghai, where I joined Hewlett-Packard (HP) during a pivotal transition period. I had the rare experience of working under two different CEOs as the company navigated massive change, all while China itself was rapidly transforming. Being at the heart of these shifts taught me invaluable lessons in leadership, adaptability, and resilience. However, my true passion has always been entrepreneurship. I returned to Indonesia, fueled by a desire to create impactful changes in the industries I work in—ranging from building materials to food and beverages, chemical trading, real estate, and manufacturing. Alongside my entrepreneurial ventures, I am actively involved in nonprofit organizations, including EO, YPO, APINDO, and Yayasan Paliatif Surabaya, where I work to give back to my community. I believe that continuous learning is key to staying ahead. Whether it’s scaling businesses or supporting social causes, I am driven by the idea of creating tangible value in every endeavor I pursue.
