About Edwin Hughes

Leaving school forced me to start working for myself in a small bussiness designed to get the young people of South Africa into gainfull employment. We started doing stock takes and store reconstructions for bussinesses such and Reckitt and Coleman, BMW South Africa and Kelloggs. We took staff into Botswana to apply our skills to Bamangwato Concessions (BCL) Ltd and Botswana Ash Pty Ltd where we took two years to complete stock takes, store reconstructions and advised best practice to store and maintain equipment within the stores. The company came to a close as I was drafted into the military, where I served in the Intellegence core. Micor Meadows Pty Ltd was a shipping company I started working for doing general duties and documents for customs. That lasted 1 year, Until I started working for Expeditors International Pty Ltd. My duties ranged from customs documents and clearing to indent monitoring and tracking and tracing missing items. Moving to the UK I found myself working for Expiditors internatiuonal again for a year, then I moved on to Carlton Screen Advertising, where I started out arranging deliveries and taking orders for standees and film posters. Then I moved onto the help desk for a number of years where I gained a considerable amount of IT knowledge and skills. Moving to Australia in 2002, I found myself in the shipping game again working for Woolworths for a short period then moving up to QLD to join Zim Lines as a sales consultant for another short stint. I walked into Mercedes-Benz of Brisbane in 2004 and worked my way from a SMART (car brand) sales consultant to a Mercedes-Benz consultant. Moved up to the Sunshine Coast to manage Mercedes-Benz for Garry Crick for about 2-3 years. Alloy Doctor Pty Ltd was born in May 2010, and it's been growing very fast ever since
