About Edwin Jansen

My personal 'why' is to encourage people to do their most meaningful work, so that more of us are happy, fulfilled and successful. The "massive transformational purpose"(MTP) that I've been long obsessed with is to free a generation of people from slavery at work. We spend more time working than anything else, yet 70% of people aren't engaged at work, and 99% of people don't love their jobs. It's a travesty! I've been working on this problem (and opportunity) for many years, and I've come to believe that the key to helping people to find their own meaningful work lies in how we organize ourselves. Business is the world's dominant institution, and it's organized as an ownership and management hierarchy, where a few people get to tell everyone else what to do, and how to do it. It's very difficult to find and maintain meaningful work, engagement, and happiness in this paradigm. My work is to lead businesses and projects that pioneer better organizational, staffing, and HR models and practices, so that more people are doing more meaningful and fulfilling work. As for my "whats", I have experience in: startups, corporate development, business model design, B2B marketing strategy, branding and positioning, Teal & self-management, team leadership, employee engagement, marketing operations, new service/product development, product marketing, etc. If you're thinking of maybe contacting me about something, just do it!
