About Edwin Kimani

I am a Cargo Supervisor at Emirates SkyCargo, the world's largest international cargo airline and a leading provider of air freight services. I have been with the company for over 19 years, starting as a junior staff and progressing to a supervisory role in the planning department. My core competencies include cargo planning, capacity control, load planning, ULD allocation, payload optimization, and customer service. I am responsible for ensuring that all flights' cargo figures are released expeditiously within the set time norms and that the space available on the flights is utilized to its optimum by uplifting additional cargo booked. I also plan and balance ULD stock at stations with excess or shortage of ULDs, and allocate mail and courier ULDs based on regular weight and volume allocation. I report directly to the Hub Operations Officer, Shift Duty Controller, and Shift Cargo Duty Manager, and I work with a team of dedicated and skilled professionals who share the same vision of delivering excellence and innovation in the aviation industry. I am also an emerging leader who has completed the Emerging Leader Foundations certification issued by LinkedIn, which has enhanced my skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making. My mission is to contribute to the success and growth of Emirates SkyCargo by providing efficient and effective cargo operations and planning services that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and stakeholders.
