About Edwin Sturrus

I am a Senior Cloud Solution Architect for Security at Microsoft, and supporting our customers to achieve more secure and compliant environments by using modern cloud technologies. As a passionate cloud security expert, I establish secure solution architectures by translating business needs into smart implementation projects. Besides my role at Microsoft, I am the President of the Cloud Security Alliance in The Netherlands. Together with my boardmembers, we are responsible for the activities, visibility and knowledge sharing efforts of our local chapter. Before working at Microsoft, I was a consultant in the Cyber Security unit of KPMG Netherlands and had leading advisory roles focused on improving Cloud Security and Identity and Access Management at customers. Besides that, I was responsible for business development and growth of the Microsoft Security practice. In recent years, I have performed and published research on Cloud Security, Cloud Risk Management and Identity and Access Management and facilitated presentations, lectures and training related to these topics. Prior to working, I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Economics and Informatics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
