Growing up back in the days, as a shy little boy in the suburbs of Lagos, Nigeria with a strict military father was no joke. Order and Discipline were the agenda of the day, both at home and school. Step out of line and you get dealt with, no I’m, sorry Sir. But one thing that got me excited at the time was fashion. Nigerians loved to dress up fly and dope, whether it was in traditional attire or asho-oloyibo a.k.a (Western-style clothing). Nigerians always knew how to take fashion to the next level. I quickly understood from an early age that fashion was also a form of identity and culture. You could easily distinguish a traditional chief from an army officer in uniform and so on. This experience left an indelible footprint in my DNA growing up and defined my dressing style to date. Little did I know that fate had a unique plan for me that one day I would use my love for fashion to create a new identity of people who are Community Supporters. It took a mental health breakdown to steer me in this direction, and now, I'm not just a fashion enthusiast but a campaigner inspired by life's twists and turns. I'm also the brains behind Edwin's Humankind Service (E.H.S) a social enterprise operating as the Ed Resolution Campaign Brand (E.R.C.B), where we're on a mission to bring fashion and charity together. We are also a member of Social Enterprise UK, Our team consists of my fellow Director and myself and a team of freelancers. Who are also passionate souls? Together we craft stylish clothing that speaks volumes about life's challenges. And we're using these fashion statements to raise funds for individuals, organizations, and communities that support those in need. Our debut campaign is the "Ed Mental Pledge Campaign 2023: Making Mental Health a Fashion Statement." This campaign is all about supporting Mind Charity. We're aiming to raise a whopping £41,400 for Mind Info Helpline and online platform, Side by Side. Why? Because it's inspired by my own mental health journey.
