The prince who earns his wealth, will know how to use that wealth, much better than the prince who was given his wealth. Everything I work for and aspire to do is for the betterment and LOVE of my family and community. From leaving banking to pursue civic work. Civic work to Nonprofit work. And now in real estate commercial leasing, development and sales. We all have a role to play and it is important that we all play that role. My role at the moment is to assist in the development of San Antonio and South Texas. So thank you for all who have assisted my development on the way, because it is time to give it all back! Sonic drive thru was my first job still in high school. Learning how to serve customers on inline roller skates was a great predicate to learning that work can be fun, difficult, and always requires balancing. The free real ice cream wasn't bad either. My first job right out of high school was IBC(International Bank of Commerce). IBC taught me the importance of economic development and customer services. Serving community members from all walks of life and seeing account history on a daily basis helped understand people and numbers are not unconnected. IBC lead me to WellsFargo where systems and copy paste rained supreme. I though moving from a regional local bank to a national bank would assist in my professional development. Bigger bank = bigger me. This was a life lesson I learned the hard way and had to learn for myself. Customer kindness was put over customer service and witnessing the amount of money that a national bank exerts from a local community made me fell like a bad person for being associated. WellsFargo did teach me that no matter how kind you are treating someone, that does not negate the fact that you are can take advantage of them. Everyday weighed on my conscience. I left WellsFargo after 2.5 years and a promotion. Feeling dirty after working for WellsFargo, I wanted a job where I could feel 100% honest so I went into hard labor as an industrial helper in the oil and gas industry with my cousin. Any one who has met me, knows I do not have the real man strength it takes to be in that industry. Kudos and thank you to those folks. I did meet one of the best leaders and mentors of my life though. Mr. Joe Gonzalez the superintendent of the welders. He took no bull and I admired the respect he received from everyone at Bay, LTD. As for the rest of the story, you are going to have to set up a coffee. I will usually always accept a lunch or dinner invite as well ofcourse lol. Looking forward to hearing your story too!
