About Ege Ergin

Hello everyone, my name is Ege Ergin, and I am a senior master's degree in mechanical engineering student at Politecnico di Bari, Italy. I will be graduating in September 2023 and currently seeking a job opportunity or internship in the field of project management, quality assurance, manufacturing, 3D design, 3D printing, or mechatronics. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1997, and completed my high school education at Çevre College. Later, I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Özyeğin University, where I gained expertise in various software programs, including Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk AutoCAD, Arduino IDE, MS Office, ANSYS, Adams, and Simufact, among others. During my BSc engineering education, I was responsible for building my university's first E-Scooter. In this project, I designed the frame of the scooter in a 3D CAD program, built the mathematical modeling of the BLDC hub motor and the scooter's wheel via MATLAB Simulink, and provided velocity profiles. I also simulated the structure in ANSYS to observe static and dynamic durability. Additionally, I programmed Arduino microcontrollers to provide manual interference to the vehicle and implement two different safety systems: Collusion Protection System (CPS) and Ignition Protection System (IPS). I used ANSYS ICEPAK to observe the heat dissipation caused by the battery in the frame. Lastly, I used MSC Adams to observe the E-Scooter's attitudes in the real physical world. Apart from this project, I spent most of my spare time during my BSc engineering education, making prototype samples using 3D printers for mechanical systems and programming microcontrollers to control the mechanisms' motion in various assemblies, especially robotic arms. As a native Turkish speaker, I am fluent in the language and have a strong command of English. I have completed my German language studies up to level A2 and currently learning Italian at the same level. I believe my passion for the engineering industry, combined with my practical experience and language proficiency, makes me a valuable asset to any organization. I am enthusiastic about contributing to an organization's success and confident in my ability to do so.
