My journey in GIS began with a simple curiosity about how maps could tell stories. That curiosity led me to a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning and 5+ years of experience uncovering insights hidden within spatial data. I've collaborated with developers to pinpoint the perfect location for new communities, accounting for everything from zoning regulations to proximity to green spaces. I've also worked on master plans, land-use studies, and zoning amendments, transforming raw data into visualizations that guide critical decisions. My skill set extends beyond just maps. I'm fluent in ESRI platforms (ArcGIS Pro, Online, ArcMap), adept at data integration, and enjoy automating tasks with Python. I'm currently sharpening my skills further through the Professional Access into Employment (PAIE) program with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). Whether it's optimizing land development, creating compelling cartographic products, or finding innovative solutions to urban planning challenges, I thrive on the power of GIS to shape the world around us.
