About Eija Hakala
I have worked for over 20 years in marketing communications for several large advertising agencies as a creative concept designer, art director and graphic designer. In addition to my full-time work as a designer, I have also worked as a guest lecturer and teacher at universities of applied sciences and secondary vocational schools. I have taught principles of marketing communication, branding and visual communication design. I find it important and valuable to pass on the knowledge and experience I have gained for students training for working life. For the last year I have been studying pedagogical studies for vocational teacher at the Jamk, University of Applied Sciences, and I will graduate (Pedagogical Qualification for Teaching, AmO) in early autumn -25. I hope to continue to combine my work as a freelance designer with teaching. I feel it is important to be able to share as relevant and up-to-date knowledge and skills as possible about the world of work.
