About Eilam Amir
My research interest is mainly on Generative Design and advanced design technologies in various engineering fields such as structures, heat transfer, electro-optics, electromagnetics, as well as multiphysics.Recently, I investigate the fascinating topic of DfAM - Design for AM (Additive Manufacturing).My Ph.D. focused on structural optimization, where I combined three types of approaches: sizing, shape and topology optimization. During my Ph.D. studying period I had the opportunity to develop various topology optimization codes using Matlab and C++.I have a working experience for many years both as a mechanical design and simulation engineer.It includes design of complex mechanisms and aerospace structures as well as performing their V&V process: DOEs (Design Of Experiments), and statistical methods.As a simulation engineer I have considerable experience and knowledge in both statics and dynamics.
