About Eileen Cheng

I am…- a mom to 3 tortoises and 1 dog - the more logical thinker compared to my SO.(He’s the emotion one, so it balances.)- the head of household for my widowed mother, younger brother, and elderly grandparents- a homeowner (3)- a property manager to my family’s rental - an appreciator of the visual arts - a novice cook - no stranger to adversity Grew up with hardworking immigrant parents who provided the best they could for me. Unfortunately, that took a toll on my deceased father. I work hard, but family always comes first. Grew up thinking I’d pursue a career in visual arts, but chosen stability in my academic path by studying chemistry and engineering (boom, chemical engineering). Upon graduation, my father’s illness was declining, so I pivoted to IT project management. Often times, I’ve thought about doing engineering again. Recently, I discovered that I’m good at being the communication bridge between engineers and management. 5+ years of IT program/ project management experience, supporting the federal government (i.e. DHA, CBP, DIA). I'm always looking for ways to challenge myself and learn new skills.
