About Eileen Dignan

In my 12th year working directly with children and developing creative developmentally inspiring environments. The first 8 years were spent as a Direct Service Provider working directly with families, children and surrounding support teams to ensure program success and improved quality of life. I earned my B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies. I then moved to Dublin, Ireland where I earned my Masters in Film Theory and Media Studies. I am a highly motivated and organized professional. Drawing upon all my experiences both academic and professional, I entered Saint Philomena School of the Sacred Heart in Portsmouth, RI. I began as a member of teaching staff and social emotional curriculum lead in 4th grade. This position gave me time and space to be one on one with students who required extra attention academically mentally or socially. Ensuring the classroom was a space for success for students. Taking lead on curriculum creation, independently planning and orchestrating programs. Conducted and co-lead summer camp programs for k-2 children. This included activities to challenge and entertain minds and bodies and all learning types. I Return this year as Campus Minister. This will allow me to add an active faith base, encouraging Catholic/Christian values in action through prayer, music, acts of service and community service. Creating a peer ministry to establish youth involvement and empowerment.
