About Eileen Dombrowski
Eileen Dombrowski is a PhD candidate at Maynooth University. Previously, she served as Deputy Chief of Party of the USAID Strengthening Teacher Educatjon and Practice (STEP) Activity in Lilongwe, Malawi. Her technical expertise relates to early childhood education for children with disabilities, as well as screening and identification. Her previous work involved the management of inclusive education programming and research through a variety of funders, including USAID, UNICEF, and the World Bank. Eileen started her career as an early childhood special education teacher and has taught in public schools in Washington, DC and Baltimore City. Eileen also served in the Peace Corps in Romania and The Gambia, where she worked to help build the capacity of schools and local nongovernmental organizations. She earned her master’s degree in Comparative and International Education from Lehigh University. She also holds a master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Maryland.
