About Eileen Hendriksen
Eileen Hendriksen started her social work career in her dream job at the Alzheimer’s Association. As a Care Consultant with the Hudson Valley Chapter, Eileen meets with individuals and families facing a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or another dementia to provide information, support, and assist in planning ahead. She facilitates support groups for caregivers and people in the early stage of dementia and provides education programs for community members, caregivers, people with dementia, and professionals. Eileen also oversees volunteers that facilitate caregiver support groups and volunteers that provide tech support. As an advanced standing MSW student at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College (CUNY) following the Community Organizing, Planning, & Development method, and the Aging field of practice, Eileen was awarded a scholarship from the Hugh Downs endowment for students specializing in gerontology. She attended Dominican College and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and was inducted into Alpha Chi, Phi Alpha, and Pi Gamma Mu Honor Societies.
