Innovative Workplace Specialist My doctorate focuses on the fundamentals of a workplace (the physical worksettings and the workplace guidelines) from a Corporate Real Estate perspective in the context of Activity Based Working offices (workplace with a large variety of unassigned worksettings). The results from this study contributes towards improving organisation’s achievement of their corporate real estate strategy by improving employees’ affective, cognitive and behavioural acceptance of the workplace that is also influenced by the Activity Based Working Workplace Implementation process. Using the Theory of Affordance and a self-designed Employee Acceptance Model, I have identified: • Best practice Workplace Implementation strategy • Workplace Implementation Process pitfalls • Physical and Functional workplace features to drive positive workplace acceptance • Ongoing Workplace Management required I believe that workplace excellency does not end with their delivery but is an ongoing process of managing the workplace and making necessary changes post-moving in to maintain employees’ acceptance and adapt the workplace to their changing work practices.
