About Eilidh Reid

I currently work within the Family Support service in Aberlour, Falkirk. This allows me to work with families who need extra support within various aspects such as their parenting skills, establishing boundaries and routines with their children and overall mental health support. It is my role to support the children's wellbeing and the full family. I offer individual support with families and have previously delivered groups based upon the Five to Thrive approach. These parenting and family groups are an attachment based approach to positive parenting. The sessions allowed parents to socialise, build their confidence and develop their parenting skills whilst engaging positively with their children and learning about their own child's development. I am experienced with a demonstrated history of working with children of ages pre-birth to primary school, including children with additional support needs and neurodivergent. I have experience working with individuals with significant trauma and am Safe and Together trained and apply to my practice. I am skilled in partnership working, creativity skills, de-escalation, leadership and contributing. I am an advocate for creating and building inclusivity for children and families and am very passionate about mental health and wellbeing support. I have an Honours degree in Childhood Studies and a HNC qualification in Childhood Practice, whilst working with children since 2017. I am paediatric First Aid trained and mental health first aid trained.
