An enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working individual who enjoys a challenge, with the commitment and flexibility to work in a changing environment. I work well as part of a team or working on my own initiative and am a great time-keeper. I adjust well to new situations and have the ability to adapt to different programming languages quickly. I am quite logical and like problem-solving. I decided to undertake the Higher Diploma in Software Development at the University of Limerick, as I have always had a keen interest in IT, especially after taking the IT elective in my second year of my undergraduate degree, so when I heard about the course it sounded ideal. I completed an internship with Mosquito E-Commerce from January to April 2013 where I worked with PHP and the Yii framework. In this internship, I gained valuable experience in developing websites. I expanded my knowledge of JavaScript and CSS and also gained insight into using AJAX and jQuery. I was also exposed to working with repositories using GIT with BitBucket. I am currently working in MDS Global. I first started as a Jira Administrator in 2014, where my responsibilities included maintaining the Jira application and creating custom plugins and also maintaining the Confluence and Fisheye/Crucible applications. Throughout that role I also developed reports using Lavastorm Analytics Engine. I am now working as a Software Engineer where I have gained more experience in Java while also learning some new technologies such as Ember JS.
