About Eimear McDonnell

Eimear’s passions lie in business organisational and operational quality management projects, implementing change and progressing business models with over 15 years’ experience as a Project Management Office (PMO) Project Manager in the Irish Property Industry. With a passion to contribute more to society, Eimear decided to switch fields in order to pursue a career in the healthcare sector. She joined RCSI, University of Medicine & Health Sciences in 2021 as a Senior Project Specialist for the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (DVCAA). Since then, she has had significant responsibility for discharging the functions of the DVCAA Office including convening taskforces, managing budgets, maintaining, updating and reporting on risks, as well as inputting into the DVCAA’s university strategy actions. In this role, she has been afforded unique opportunities to acquire a central view of the university structures and operations. Prior to joining RCSI, Eimear single-handedly established a PMO Office for an Irish Project Management Organisation, with responsibility for the implementation of an effective Business Management System focusing on quality, efficiency, knowledge sharing and financial and resource planning. She has an in-depth knowledge of Lean techniques, Six Sigma and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and has developed critical analysis techniques for project finance and resource planning.
